AE 6.5 Ribbons tutorial doesn’t work in AE 7
And this isn’t really that big of a deal because I have 6.5 and 7, for reasons just like this but onto the problem.
I am making some ribbon effects and was following this Ribbon Tutorial by Joe Chao. Works fine in 6.5 but not in 7. I did the tut numerous times to make sure I was doing it correctly; it’s really not that hard of a tutorial. So I was hoping that somebody might be able to tell me what is going on here? This is my first post here as well and am excited about finally becoming a member of the best AE website in the world! haha… 🙂

try turning off collapse transformations. I’m not sure but I think they work a little differently in 7

Wow! Thanks. That worked. Kinda feel stupid now… eh. Should have known it was something simple!

Actually just found that it does work, however, the ribbon does not become “3d” in the new comp as it does in AE 6.5.
