    Hi

    Need some advice.

I am editing a promo shoot in 1080i HDV in FCP6.

I am wanting to introduce a image slide show video (still images with motion) into the HDV interlaced sequence but I am worried it will look bad when introduced into a interlaced sequence.

Has anyone got any good tips for using image slideshows into interlaced sequences to the timeline so you don’t get that bad interlaced still images.

Should I export the image sequence as 1080p export movie then introduce into the 1080i HDV sequence?

How do others make sure still image motion or still images look great for export to web, DVD and quicktime movies.

I would naturally like to shoot in 1080p and do it all progressive but that’s the next camera.

I really appreciate all the advise you guys give.

    Cheers

    Ham

I am not a fan of using FCP for photo slide shows.

    Check out Fotomagico.

    Thanks

I am thinking of such a program

But my concern is bringing the exported progressive 1080p movie (from Photomagico or iphoto) into the FCP interlaced 1080i sequence and then getting interlacing artifacts on the image slide show in the sequence.

    Advise?

    Cheers

Use after effects or motion to make your movies and render them out interlaced. That way it will match your footage.
