OK cards on the table. Ive been editing AVID for 20 years or more, but im currently in front of a FCP.
Im doing a multicam edit. Ive synched my cameras, created my multicam clip, and can vision mix witht he mouse or keyboard buttons no problem at all.
BUT, if i play the head and it is many seconds past my last vision change and need to stop (say for a coffee) when i want to start editing again and click the new shot before pressing play, FCP is changing the shot on the timeline right back to my last cut – A Cut I already specified to be a different shot. WHY?

Is there a setting that I can change on this?

    Any help is much appreciated.
I dont want fcp changing shots earlier than my present position, only those AT my current position.!
