    Hi there,

I’m looking to buy a new laptop, which will primarily be used for work with Premiere Pro. My camera shoots 50fps AVCHD. Though I will probably convert the files before editing in premiere.

Intel Core i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-4700MQ
    24GB Samsung 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 Memory (3x8GB)
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M – 2GB DDR5 Video RAM – Direct X 11
    750 WD Scorpio Black 7200rrpm Hard-drive
    120GB Kingston SSDNow mS200 mSATA (up to 550MB/s : 520MB/sW)

I’d like a little advice regarding the graphics card/RAM. I understand both affect the smooth running of the programme- I just wanted to check whether the GTX 765M is a good enough card to justify the 24gb of ram, if you see what I mean. I found it quite difficult to find (or maybe to understand…) information regarding the card for some reason.

It’s a pricey machine, would love a heads up on whether there’s any bottleneck in the system. I would install premiere on the SSD as well as the operating system.

    Thanks!
