    Hi,

I’ll be buying a new machine that will be used for editing and compositing with an Intenisty device. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me out with. Thanks in advance.

    The array
I’ve read the minimum specs for arrays on the Blackmagic site. I notice that all the Rocketraid cards they recommend are SATA 300 cards. I’m wondering if I could just buy a 2 disk array card at SATA 600 that will allow us to work with uncompressed HD. Has anybody attempted this successfully? It would be better than having to get a new disk enclosure, etc.

    USB 3 Shuttle vs PCIe
I’ve read many posts where people are having trouble with the Intensity Shuttle for USB 3. What is the consensus? Is the PCIe version of intensity better? Obviously you lose portability…but as long as it works, I’m OK.

    Thanks for the advice.
