Simply offered as advice to fellow travelers on the video editing highway…

“Using Premiere’s Export to Tape Option for HDV Projects” – see attached .pdf

At the end of 2009, I tried unsuccessfully to use the Export to Tape function in Premiere CS3. In my case, I wanted to export an HDV project back to a mini-DV tape using my Canon HV30 camcorder. After many false starts, I came up with a workflow that worked for me. If I followed all of it…to the letter…my transfer to tape was successful.

I offer it with best wishes…your mileage may vary.

I am glad you succeeded and are willing to share that success, but the file downloads as a .htm file and wont open. Changing the file extension to .zip or .pdf does not help.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

I’m working on getting it right. Unfortunately, I can’t find any help topic on how to include files within posts. My first few attempts have failed.

I think/hope this link will work successfully.

Wouldn’t hurt if the Creative Cow team offered a tutorial on the attachment workflow…just sayin’.

    Regards,
