    Hello,

I’m trying to figure out a method of expediting a rotoscoping workflow for a demo project I’m working on. Here is the scenario of the shot:

    – still camera
    – still background
    – person walks in and moves around the background

The shot was originally created using green screen footage of the actress moving around, and composited over a CG environment (CG room, window, etc.)

We no longer have access to the original green screen footage however, and must work with the final, post-composited shot.

Basically, is there a method of telling After Effects to take the background (since she walks into the frame), and anything that doesn’t match that background over the next X amount of frames, mask it? It seems like this would be possible.

    Anything to avoid manual rotoscoping.

    Thank you.
