    Hi,

I just downloaded the Production Premium CS5 Installation which I bought some years ago, and I’m trying to install it on my new PC laptop.
When entering the license number, and it’s finished installing it says that there were a problem with the installation and list a huge list with problems.

Could this be due to that I have After Effects cc 2014 and some other cloud based Adobe apps installed on the same computer? How should I deal with that?

I’m only interested in downloading the old Photoshop CS5 from the link.

I’m out of Office, so No. But, I’m running Windows 8.

Doubtful. I have CS5, CS6, CC, CC 2014, and CC 2015 all installed and running fine on my home machine. It’s probably Windows 8. Try running in compatibility mode.

W8 should be ok due to Adobes paper.

I don’t know what paper you are talking about. I do know that AE’s System Requirements page only lists up to Windows 7 as a working OS for CS5. Here’s the link.

Microsoft might say it is, but real people voted on those pages and only 1 out of 7 people said Windows 8.1 was compatible and only 2 out of 6 said Windows 8.0 was compatible, so that page would indicate that it isn’t. The people who said that it was compatible probably didn’t use AE. Some people just use Photoshop and Illustrator.
