I have a friend who edits with Adobe Premiere on a PC and wants me to finish up a project for him. I’m running Final Cut Studio 2 on a Mac Pro. Is there an easy way to transfer the work that he’s done over to my computer without a mountain of headaches? I’ve read some stuff on EDLs, but I’ve never used it and don’t know a great deal about it.

    Thanks.

From what I recall the newer version of Adobe Premiere can export an XML file which I like better then an EDL. Or maybe it can only import one. I would request an XML file. Then you can import it into FCP by going to File, Import, and then choose XML or EDL. Depending on which file you get. Keep in mind that you will need to get all of the clips, art work, audio, etc. Best of luck.
