September 21, 2005 at 10:30 pmI’ve only had one go at this sort of workflow and that was recapturing a PPro project that was digitised and edited on my laptop in native Microsoft DV. Ithen did a total recapture in uncompressed 10-bit SDI. I think I did play back some DV on the timeline but I wasn’t using the Mainconcept codec. Generally I just go uncompressed all the way, then do a project trim. But I will be doing more offline laptop DV editing in the near future. I also use a SD-Connect to convert SDI to Firewire. This all probably isn’t of much use to you. The Mainconcept thing may be an issue. Have you spoken to BM support about this?
