    Hi there guys,

    I’m a freelance cameraman & editor. I am currently working on a wedding video using Premiere Pro.

    It was shot with:

    Canon 5D MK iii
    Canon EF 35mm f/1,4 L USM

    The particular shot I am talking about is when the cake is cut. Just as the knife touches it, someone turns the lights all the way up, which was a miscommunication error I assume.

    Now, I know that when the video is blown out like this it is basically impossible to recover but I was just wondering if anybody had any new tips or tricks I could try.

    Apply the Fast Color Corrector or Levels effect and keyframe the white and black levels. Reference the YC Scope and maintain a steady luma profile through the clip.
