Ok so im not sure if anyone has posted about this or not but here goes.

Whenever i import MXF files into adobe premiere CS5 on the PC all my memory is used up with these files. Why is this and is there anything that can be done to stop it? I have 24GB of ram installed on my machine and as soon as i start to import MXF files the program uses all of it, its as if the footage is been stored into the ram. Is this a bug that adobe need to fix or is there something im doinng wrong here? The files are from my canon XF300 camera. I have a project which has around 2 hours of footage in MXF format that i need to edit but at this rate its abit of a joke.

    My system specs are
    Intel i7 950 quad core
    24gb Ram DDR 2000mhz
    2 x 1 TB hard drives
    gigabyte x58a-ud3r motherboard
    Nvidia GTX470 graphics card
    windows 7 professional
