Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 issue – Video appears in the Clip window but not in the Monitor window.
Hi all,
This may be a basic problem and the answer may be right in front of me, but I am at a loss. Been using my 1.5 version for a couple of years with no issues. Just recently video clips have been appearing in the Clip window just fine but show up as black in the Monitor window. This includes clips I’ve used in previous projects numerous times with no issues whatsoever. The audio is there, but the video is black. It stays black after it is rendered and when the sequence is exported it is black as well.
Strangely enough, imported clips that were previous made on 1.5 (completed past projects) show up just fine. It’s weird.
If I previous exported a video using Clip A,B and C, then that ABC clip can be imported and it will work just fine. But if I know import clips A, B or C…even though they previously worked fine for years in numerous projects….they now show up as black.
Again, they’re fine in the clip window, but not the final sequence monitor window.
Completely at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Anything change in your system lately? Display card? Updated drivers?
I would try to uninstall/reinstall the software…
Any other idiosyncrasies of PPro 1.5 are kind of foggy for me…the software was current nearly a decade ago.
