I’m a teacher at a high school and we’re using premiere CS4 on 7 department computers. Just recently one of our suites stopped responding to render commands. The render box appears but nothing happens.
I also noticed that the Adobe dynamic link isn’t allowing “send to encore” and the export command isn’t allowing “export to tape” which is how I keep copies of the student’s films besides burning to DVD.
Can ayone provide a solution? It’s only happening on one computer the others are fine.
My technology knowledge isn’t very extensive, though we’ve been using Premiere for a long time and I do know what works for us.

Thanks for any help- don’t like letting my students become too frustrated, although its hard sometimes with premiere.

So many things going wrong. I would reinstall the application.

Yeah, when this sort of behavior occurs, really the uninstall/reinstall is the best path.

You could trash the preferences, which fixes SOME of these problems. When you click the icon to load Premiere, hold down SHIFT. Doing so will remove and custom settings (like window positions), but you won’t lose any project files/media.

Additionally, you may be running low on disk space. Check your scratch disk and medie cache folders (the location for these are specified in the preferences).
