Adobe Premiere CC 2014 freezes using CUDA
Hi everyone, i got late 2013 MB Retina 15″ ME294
Each day i edit mov, R3D or mts footage in CC2014. It seems that its everything ok when i just edit and cut the frames, but when i start to grade it in MB Looks 2.5.1 adding LUTs, my Mac usually freezes when the latest updated CUDA driver is chosen in Project Settings>GeneralYesterday i tried to switch to OpenCL, everything became better, mac frozen only one time today when i tried to add export video to media encoder Queue (AME had been already busy rendering video), but in any other situations, when i try to grade my footage, my mac freezes for about 5 seconds and Pr pro gives me message like “sorry…” Using OpenCL GPU Acceleration.
Could anybody help me with that problem? I updated Cc2014, updated CUDA drivers, updated MB looks, got latest OSX 10.9.4, but still no luck when i using CUDA drivers for render/playback.

I think the issue is that Red Giant needs to update their plugin to support 2014. They published a note here: Red Giant Compatability

I solved the freezing by deleting CUDA drivers.
My friend didn’t removed it, just switched the Pr Pro acceleration to Open CL, and it’s the same- everything works good!I guess NVIDIA should think about users of their software and solve that BIG ENNOYING BUG!!!

Did you have the latest version of the CUDA panel? It was x51 but now pushed up to 6.0.54 recently.
