Adobe Premiere 6 Audio and video seperation after down loading to time line
While using Adobe Premiere 6, the Audio and video seperate after down loading to time line after about 6 mins.I’ve called Canon and they say its not the camera (XL-1) fault but a setting in the software. I’ve used Premiere 6, Premiere pro, and Final Cut and all get the same result. If I batch capture it remidies the problem but takes hrs. longer to get result. Any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, jesusfriend

Please explain in more detail what you mean by “separate”….
but… it is absolutely normal for the audio and video to be on separate tracks in any NLE timeline.

What happens is the audio and visual seperate(when you push play) it looks like one of those godzilla movies…you hear the words, but the lips are not moving. The audio does not match the picture. This beginsto happen after about 6min. I use 2 cameras for a TV show, and edit back and forth between the 2. I have to go to every 6 min. segment, go to the 8 frame audio on the timeline, and visually and manualll ajust the xl-1 to the GL-1. It takes forever, or i do a batch capture every 6 min, which remedys problem, but to get the 2 tapes to match wright I have to use the razor to match up because it adds a sec. or 2 when i batch capture. I hope this makes sense. It would be easier to talk on the phone.Any suggestions you have would be so appreiciated. thanks!!! -
That is a “synch” issue (ie. synchronisation)
What type of files are you capturing & editing with ? (.avi, .mpeg, qtime ?)
What are your project settings ?
