Adobe Premier Files to Final Cut – How?
Hello All,
I was wondering if there is an easy way to get my Adobe Premier Pro CS3 files into final cut (the latest version) to edit in final cut?
What problems will I encounter if I try and do this?

You will need to use an EDL of the project to import into FCP.
There are limitations to the EDL format and you will need to keep the edit as simple as possible, just cuts and crossfades only. Keep the vision to one layer and keep the audio to a single stereo track too.
File> Export> EDL will give you a small file that is just a reference list.
Importing it into FCP will give you all the footage used and the sequence. You may lose some of your shots or have to fix up some things here and there, it will be mostly there tho. And won’t have to start from scratch. You will need to reconnect all the media or recapture it in FCP.
