Adobe Prelude INGEST question
Apologies, but I did not see a Prelude forum so I thought this forum might work too. I’m using Prelude to ingest to 2 different locations, one to and array and another to an external portable hard drive. The transcode formats are the same, Apple ProRes 422 1080i. When I’m doing this, is Prelude simply doing this in one pass and placing the files in 2 different locations? It’s not like it’s needing to transcode twice right, because that would be pretty inefficient. Thanks much in advance!

I assume that the answer to your question is yes, but I will check. When you select ‘transcode’, you are actually creating a job in AME. Let me ask engineering and if possible, get back to you.
