  • Adobe not importing the full video clip

It’s a problem that just started to happen last night when I was trying to edit something. I was going to look through Adobes stuff to find a solution but I wouldn’t even know how to describe the problem to find it, plus their customer service is utter garbage.

Anyway, to describe my problem. Every time I try to import certain clips, they get cut to only about a minute or so. It’s different each time but it doesn’t go past the two minute mark. It only just started happening like I said, and I know the video I’m importing is longer. Other videos of the same nature import just fine.

They play just fine and other programs show them at their full length, but they’re not things I can edit with in the same ease and quality as adobe.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you been importing your clips using the Media Browser, or other methods? Only the Media Browser will import spanned clips correctly, combining multiple files into a single clip.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I’ve been dealing with health issues and had to have surgery.

I’ve been importing my clips using every method imaginable, importing to the project bin, using the media browser, the same thing happens every time. Even when the codec has been changed.

Sorry to hear about your health problems and surgery. Hope things are improving now!

Unfortunately the Media Browser was the only thing I could suggest. Everything else would be kind of random, like trashing preferences or repairing disc permissions. Hopefully someone here with more intimate knowledge of the software can suggest something…?

I hope so too… it doesn’t happen with every clip either. I can have media recorded in the same program, that went through the same edits in VDub be fine but some of them aren’t.
