Adobe importing 1080p clips as 720
Hey all! Its been a while since I last posted so I decided to make a new account. I have a question for the all knowing people out there. Im more familiar with Apple FCP so excuse the noob question, but I have video I am importing to APP, and it even shows as 1080 in windows properties, but will not import as such in premier. What is causing this and how can I change it? Thank you all in advance.

By any chance are your default sequence settings 720p? I’m working on a video with 8 sequences and for some reason one of them defaulted to 720p even though the clip is 1080p, another one to 23.976 when the clip is actually 29.97. It happens.

Nope. When I import the clip, and right click it, it says 720. When I make a 1080 sequences it asks me if I want to choose the settings for the clip or keep the same sequence settings. And if I keep them, the video is smaller aka has boarders.

Then your clip is 720 and not 1080.

Welp, my bad. Turns out that some videos are in 720, others are in 1080 and that was causing the confusion. Thanks all! 😀
