  Adobe Illustrator, Sketch Effect problem

  I have used live trace on a picture, and want to do a sketch effect on a certain part of the image, in this case the hair. But everytime I apply the sketch effect, it applies in on the whole image. How do I make it only do a certain area? Any help appreciated
