Greetings, I am having a devil of a time with Encore. I try to make DVDs (we use CS5) but when I click on Build, the Build starts but within 5 seconds Build Progress freezes on Building Slideshows.

The station I work at has had nothing but problems with all of the Adobe CS5 suite (with the exception of Photoshop – still the best !!!)
This is just one more thing in a long line of “spinning wheels” that we endure on a daily basis. Anyway, can anybody tell me what we are doing wrong.

I start a new project, Close every other application on the computer, Import the Video as an Asset ( usually and MPEG 2 file) , drag it into the timeline, set the end action to Stop, and then hit Build.
At that point it starts to build then freezes.

    Thanks if you can help.

    UGH!
    Having the exact same problem.
Seems to only happen when I use mpg2 files to avoid transcoding.

    HELP!

Same problem – did you resolve?

Sorry Alex but I still have the same problem, although it is intermittent, some projects have the issue some don’t, can’t seem to fine any reason for the difference. It only seems to happen in CS5-5.5 at least for me. I have an old install of CS4 that I use as a work around when the problem pops up.

Good luck – and if you find a solution PLEASE post it here!!!

    Thanks,
    Kevin
