Adobe emiere Pro 2 – Shimmer problem
I have been creating audio visuals using high quality stills but am finding quite a severe shimmer on a number of images after I export to an AVI.
What is the best way of reducing if not removing the shimmer.

I find images with thin horizontal lines, like buildings with brick facades combined with motion can cause shimmering. Try either a small amount of Gaussian blur or directional blur (vertical).
Unsafe colors can also contribute, a little desaturation might help. -
Many thanks Mike. Several of the images were of flowers – massed and brightly coloured rather than with thin lines. Will try your suggestions.
