Adobe Dynamic Link Problems
In PPRo when I use Dyanmic Link to import several AE comps into a timeline, some of the comps will playback, even after a render, with components from another comp I’ve imported into the same project. Comp1 will flash back and forth with comp2. It’s like dyanmic link gets confused and starts playing back elements from comp1 and comp2 where comp1 is in the timeline.
Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions. I can render everything in AE, but that kind of defeats the purpose of Dynamic Link.
I currently have Adobe Creative Suite CS4 running on:
Intel Xeon 5530 2.4GHZ
12 GB Ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 4800
Windows 7 Professional

I’ve had the same problem, and posted about it. No easy solutions as far as I can see. The bigger the project the more confused Dynamic Link gets. I’ve encoded videos and sent them to clients not realizing that DL has swapped comp references without my knowing. The result has been videos where you’re hearing one person’s audio on a greenscreen clip, but you’re seeing someone else. I just stopped using DL and rendered out of AE and imported and replaced in Premiere. It was a pain in the butt, and took up a lot of time, but the project crashes less now, and takes way less time to render now that the files are self-contained and not part of DL.

Thanks for your post. I did take several comps in AE and make them all one comp, then used dynamic link to import that comp into PPro. Everything played in the PPro timeline okay after that. Just seems like dynamic link should be able to playback several AE comps in one timeline.
I had the same problem on another box with only 4gb of RAM – thought that may have been the problem – apparently not.
