  • Adjustment layer – basic motion controls dont work

Posted by Ley Wilson on June 12, 2013 at 7:06 pm

In Premiere Pro CS6 I was tryin to use the adjustment layer over several shots and tried to use the motion controls to gradually push in on all the shots (as a whole) under the layer adjustment. However the simple push in wouldn’t work. I tried other effects added to the adjustment layer and they worked. But not basic motion adjustments.
Does anyone have this problem or know what I’m doing wrong? I was using nesting to do this and it works fine, but I thought an adjustment layer would be perfect for this.

    Thanks,
    LW

You need to apply an effect to the adjustment layer in order to see changes to the fixed effects.
Altering the fixed effects of an justment layer works but you wont see it as the adjustment layer is transparant.

Thanks, I did have several other effects on there at the same time and then adjusted the scale but it didn’t show up. (If that’s what you are saying). However your explanation made sense so I applied the “transform” effect and did the push in there and it worked like a charm.

    Thanks!
