  • Adjust the timing of several events simultaneously?

Posted by Vic Santiago on December 2, 2007 at 1:23 pm

I made an opening title in vegas7 using several text media generators. I applied media edits, transitions, pan/crop, and track motion effects, etc. until I was satisfied with the results.

The total running time comes out to about 34 seconds. I’d like to shorten the entire sequence to exactly 30 seconds.

Is there a way I can quickly do this so that all the individual events in the time line are shortened proportionately, and thus get a total running time of 30 seconds?

    Thank you,

    Vic

    Select em’ all.
    Hit “G” for Group
Hold CTRL and slide the right-most title to the left until you hit your 30 second mark.

Thanks Douglass, that solved the problem.

After saving the intro veg file, I then opened the main video veg file, and dragged the intro veg file as a nested veg file.

During playback however, the intro portion was not smooth, i.e., the pan/crop and track motion settings were “choppy” and seemed to “stutter”.

Is this normal behaviour for nested files? Will the intro portion playback smoothly when I render the main file?

    Thanks again,

    Vic
