  • adjust footage seperatly – set FPS only to footage in time line?

you know you can adjust your footage in adobe premiere. simply click on adjust and then you can change the FPS of your footage. premiere will add this adjust not only to your footage in your time line but also to the entire clip you have in your project. is there a way to just set the FPS only to the footage in my time line?

    why?

my footage is 50 fps with audio. i change the fps to 25 fps which slows down my audio. now i can either have the footage play at the right speed in my time line with 25 fps but the audio is slowed down OR option 2) i have super fast footage (well twice as fast) with correct audio.

how do I get my footage to be 25 fps and my audio to remain the way it is (at 50 fps)?

Export the audio out to a wav file and re import it as a standalone track.
