Adding sound to powerpoint video .WMV
I am struggling to create a DVD of 5 powerpoint presentations on video
As you probably know Powerpoint 2010 does a nice job turning a presentation with narration into a WMV file – either 960×720 or 640×480
The properties are as follows
Data rate 1366kbps
Total bitrate 1686kbps
Framerate 30 f/sideo
ID : 1
Format : VC-1
Format profile : MP@HL
Codec ID : WMV3
Codec ID/Info : Windows Media Video 9
Codec ID/Hint : WMV3
Description of the codec : Windows Media Video 9 – Professional
Duration : 2mn 37s
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 411 Kbps
Width : 960 pixels
Height : 720 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 4:3
Frame rate : 30.303 fps
Nominal frame rate : 30.000 fps
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Compression mode : Lossy
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.020
Stream size : 7.71 MiB (46%)
Language : English (US)So at this stage I want to add on a soundtrack, balance the levels and send 5 files to DVD architect. Windows movie maker does this very nicely. The resulting 1280×720 is clear and the 5 mp4 files burn onto DVD without any problem.
But Movie maker is very limited and I am unable to set the audio levels and trim the soundtrack with the precision that Vegas movie studio platinum allows.
I imported the clips into vegas using the “match media video settings” function to get the properties right.
custom template (960×720, 30.000 fps)
pixel aspect ration 1.00 (square)
frame rate 30
render quality best
deinterlace interpolate
adjust untickedAfter adding my soundtrack the preview looks good and I go to “make movie”
Now the problem – whatever template I use seems to cause skip and flicker with black frames and frames out of order
The mainconcept avc/aac standard 720 template seems right but it dosent work neither does the “burn it to DVD” optionIts probably a small setting somwhere but I havent been able to find it
I would value any constructive advice
Thanks
