adding sound layers problem / Sony Vegas 10
Hello,
I’m trying to edit a documentary in Sony Vegas. First I created the whole video track and now I want to put new audio layers: the voice over and the music.
Every time I try to insert new file, the origiinal file keeps breaking up. How to block it?
I also have a problem with seperate editing of video and audio of the original file.
I’m really panicking and can’t find any tutorial answering my issues… OR- they don’t work! -

Right click either the audio or video event and select group then remove from.

don’t really understand your question too well. but from what i can make out; you have a full length video/audio track and want to add another audio track mixed with it, without affecting existing timing of video?
first, create a new audio track. then import the new audio onto that. you can move it freely without affecting original audio/video and change the level and fx. you might find it easier to add a track for each type of audio (e.g. music, sound fx); it helps when navigating the project. make sure to name the tracks as well.
you’d need to read the manual on the basics of adding tracks etc.
