  • Adding Soft Edge to FCP Squeeze FX

    Hello
    I am trying add a soft edge to the Squeeze effect. I have a look at the FXbuilder & copied code that identifies itself as soft edge in the iris fx but without success. Has anyone got an idea how I can add the softegde function to the squeeze fx? Thank you

    I’ve never messed with FX builder, but here’s 2 quick and dirty methods:

    1. Motion tab of the clip, go to Crop====>Edge Feather. Keyframe accordingly.

    2. Effects====>Video Filters===>Matte===>Soft Edges. Keyframe accordingly.

    The 2nd suggestion did the trick. Strange that the soft edge is not integrated in to the effect.
    Many thanks
    Christopher
