Adding multiple images into one sequence

You can change the import duration in the MEDIA CREATION settings for still imports.

But then you wouldn’t be able to cross dissolve…well, you would, but you’d need to shorten the duration of the stills on the timeline to accommodate that.

Or, change the import duration and take into account the dissolves.

But then you’ll need to manually set the in point for each one to be 15 frames to 1 second from the first frame so that this’ll work…a lot of manual labor, which you were hoping to avoid.

I can’t see an easy way around this. Editing is labor intensive…

Here’s how to set multiple In and Out points in one operation.

Open the Bin in Script View

Select the Clips you want to affect {Ctrl A selects all clips in bin}

Press G to clear any existing in/out points

Press T (sets Mark In /Out Points at beginning and end of clips)

Press Q (takes you to beginning of clips)

Use the #2 key (moves 10 frames forward) or #4 key (moves 1 frame forward) for as many frames as you want, and Mark In point

Again use the #2 key to set your desired duration and Mark Out point

Before when i used fcp7 i could just select all the photos choose a duration. I guess its a bit different since switching to avid.
Just thought there might be an easier way around this because next time I will have 1000 photos and it will take huge amount of time!
