  • Adding motion blur to an image sequence?

    Hello all,

I’ve got an image sequence of about 3000 images that I made with my camera and an intervalometer. In the frame are a bunch of still elements, and then people moving between/among the elements. When I play it back, everything is in crisp focus (which is great). However, I’d like to render a version where it looks less like stop motion and more like the people are actually moving between positions… so the people would actually be blurry and the movement would kind of be implied.

I’ve added CC Force Motion Blur, and it is getting close. However, it has made my render time absolutely huge (about 16 hours), and it doesn’t seem to look right. The people are blurry, but they are also mostly transparent… not sure if that makes sense.

I figure I may be going about this in the wrong way. What would you recommend trying?

Use the Timewarp effect with the settings described in the tip on this page for faking motion blur.
