Adding Leader Elements to Quicktime mov
Hi everyone, great to meet you all and be part of this forum. I have a few questions for you all 🙂
I have a client that wants me to send them a quicktime .mov that includes an (academy leader, a 2-pop, and timecode burn in) ok, well what I’ve done so far is: I nested my sequence and applied the timecode reader filter, that solves one problem, except that they want the timecode to be in the bottom right of screen, out of action safe… is this possible? I have no idea how to add the 2-pop to a quicktime file… I’ve always done that while doing a print to video or print to tape… can anyone help me out? also I’m not 100% sure what an academy leader is??? I assume it’s 10sec of black before the picture starts?? anyone? I could really use some help here, thanks 🙂

Double click on the video track in the timeline to load into the viewer, and in the filter tab you will see all ythe controls for the timecode filter, which will let you move and resize.
The academy leader is a standard countdown, counting down 8 to 3 and then with one frame of 2, at which point there is a single frame beep on the sound track, i.e. the “two pop.”
The two pop is 1 frame of the tone from the bars and tone that are on your system or widely downloadable anywhere.

Head Leaders for Cinema Tools 2 folder in his FCP installation disk should have some leaders in the Extras folder. They include the 2-pop.
