  Adding jpgs to HD video with VV…best resolution?

  We make DVDs of travel videos and like to include “stills” from our dSLR (Canon 20D) using VV5. We’ve now upgraded to an HD camcorder and have VV6, but would like to know what would be the best resolution for the jpgs that we include in our videos? In the past I’ve been able to use 50% crops with good success, but with the HD format, will I show artifacts?

  Right now we’re just collecting “footage” since making DVDs with HD will require upgrading our laptop to more horsepower.

  Any help would be appreciated.
