Hey, I am new to Sony Vegas Pro. I want use fx to place a strip of highlighting onto a photo of a document. (Kinda like those in “60 Minutes” or 20/20) I have scanned the document and brought it into the timeline. What fx plugin is best if I just want to highlight one word temporarily and leave the rest of the doc visible? Cookie Cutter was close, but I’m not sure it is the best option. Thanks for your help.

You can easily select the media generator…then a color gradient,
add it to your timeline..then use the track motion to resize to your
liking,(long rectangle..etc), configure or even keyframe it to give it some motion.
