Adding HDRI’s
Hi,
I have c4d 11.5. I want to add some 3rd party HDRI’s to my library – what’s the correct way to do this?
Also I don’t have Advanced Render – will this make a crucial difference to my renders if I don’t buy it?

Go to the content browser, click on “Favorites”. Then right-click on favorites and add a new folder. Then you can drag and drop your HDRIs into the folder from any file browser.
As to whether you can use them without AR, I think that HDRIs will still give you better reflections without AR, but you won’t be able to use them to generate lighting the way you can with global illumination.
