I’m editing a commercial in 720p DVCPRO HD. I have a keyable animated logo with HD resolution. When I put in over the image it looks fine but when I render the animation It looks broken up and pixalated. What can I do? Should I trie doing it in Motion or After Effects?

Judge the quality of the logo externally on a video monitor if you’re not already…. the Canvas only shows a proxy of the actual picture quality you’re working with. I presume this logo has an alpha channel? It probably looks fine, you just can’t see it if you’re not viewing it externally on an HD monitor… Even an SD monitor would be better than the Canvas for any sort of judgement of quality.

Make sure the RT popup menu to:
    Safe RT
    High Quality
    Full Frame Rate

Check off all qualities in the Sequence > Render Menus

Make sure graphic lands on whole, even numbers

    Monitor to NTSC
