adding effects doesn’t work in the preview
when i add an effect onto a video in the timeline and click play on to preview the effect, the effect never shows up. the video plays generic as if i have put no effect at all on the video. help please.

Just a thought; by default most effects do not make any change without adjusting parameters in the Effects Controls Palette.

no matter what i change in the effects control pallette, it still doesnt show any effects on the video.

Your problem is too broad, please help narrow it down.
Have you seen this work on other projects?
If so, what is unique about this one?
Or, are you a new user to the software and need basic guidance?
Are you following a tutorial? Which one?
All of the effects (including scale) or just particular ones?Pauley
