I brought my 2009 Mac Pro back to life with OWC a 480GB Mercury Accelsior E2 PCI Express Solid State Drive. This thing is great. One problem, apps with content are starting to fill it up. How does the ESATA connection to an external SSD work? I am assuming i will only get the throughput of the cable and the SSD drive? Is that correct? Can I build a raid array from 2 older SSD drives I have laying around and hook it up via ESATA?

Just curious of how to increase my storage and still have the speed of the Accelsior drive.
