Hi- just got back from a job with about 4T worth of footage that has been imported and logged into Premiere Pro cc ’17. Right now all of the clips in the bins match the camera names. However, the lead editor wants to add YYMMDD as a prefix to every clip name. Is there a way to add a prefix to every clip in a bin? Copying and pasting will take forever. I know I can use Bridge or bulk renaming app, but that would rename the original clips. I only want to add this to the clips inside Premiere. Anyone know of a method?
    Thanks

How about a roundtrip with XML and a text editor doing a custom search/replace? It’s only the display name in the bin…
(I think the lead editor is perhaps a bit arrogant, why not keep bins with shoot days?)
