Add to secondary storyline, storyline grows left instead of right?

I found how to do this!

First, add the new clip in as a connected clip.
Then, hold the G key down while you drag the new clip in front of the secondary storyline.
The storyline will grow to the left to envelope the new clip.

Totally valid.

The other way to is to simply add the clip as connected back timed (shift-q), then select that clip, and the SHELF of the secondary only (which is the thicker black bar above the clips, and not the clips themselves, basically selecting the secondary container) and hit command-g. This will add to the new clip to the front of the secondary. Apple should add an “insert backtimed” command as this would help. That way you’d just select the shelf and back time the edit to front.
