Add Neon Lights flickering to a DEATH scene
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to go about adding a flickering light in a scene that was lit using neons?
I have a shot where a woman’s head gets put through a window pain of one of those big stuffed animal machines with the claw that you often see in bars or arcades; anyhow, during the struggle, I want the neon lights in the machine to be flickering to add a dramatic feel to the scene.
Any idea how this can be done using Avid FX or even After Effects?

I’d suggest the BCC effects – one of the glows should do it. Since the neon lights are the brightest…you’d play with the threshold and animate that.
