    SVP12 pro.

This may seem list a newbie question, but is there a shortcut or hidden preference somewhere that will insert an audio track below (or above, I don’t care) the current track.

I have a complicated composite with about 35 tracks and SHIFT+Q inserts all the way at the bottom.

I know it’s a small thing, but I have searched, read, googled but cannot find anything.

    Thanks,

    STBO

That’s because there’s nothing to find. Using the keyboard shortcuts, video tracks always get added to the top and audio racks always get added to the bottom and yes, it’s annoying to say the least.

Right click on the track header and choose Insert Audio Track
Obviously, the shortcut does not work as intended.

If you right-click on a track header (on the left side of the timeline), you can select Add Audio Track or Add Video Track and it will insert the audio or video track just above the track you right-clicked on, instead of at the top or bottom of all the current tracks.
