add 2D fog to a 3D anim with moving cam
Hi,
I know there are many posts in this forum concerning fog but I can’t find a solution for my problem 🙁
I made an animation in Cinema 4D. The Camera is moving in all directions. Now I want to add some fog to this animation. I tried several things:
in C4D:
the only way to create the fog directly in C4D without waiting endlessly for the rendering is to use visible lights but I couldn’t get results that were quite convincing.
in AE:
Now I tried to add the fog in AE. I used the “fog factory” from “Digieffects Delirium” and that looks brilliant for me 🙂 The problem is the moving camera. When the camera is pointing to the left and moving forward in the rendering of my 3D-anim then the 2D-fog should behave accordingly. Of course I can do it by hand: when I scrub forward in the anim and see the cam is changing the position, I change the offset settings in the “fog factory” effect. When the cam is moving forward I change the size of the fog. Is there any way to do this automatically via some expression ?
