  adaptive update not working

  I’ve checked the “adaptive resolution” setting in my comp window. I’ve checked my caps lock. I’ve checked my preview preferences and as I drag the time marker in my time line, my comp window won’t update. The comp only updates after I let go of the mouse button. I’m sure I’m missing something simple. Any suggestions?
