  • adaptive resolution problem…

When I click on and drag anything in my comp window, all I see is a big X and bounding box until I release the object, then the object appears again. This did not used to happen. I have ADAPTIVE RESOLUTION chosen in the comp window and in Preferences. And I have tried this with openGL chosen and unchosen and it doesn’t make any difference. I have also removed the openGL plugin and this doesn’t help either. And I have set adaptive resolution at 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 and it makes no difference.

Any ideas? This problem makes editing very difficult. :o\

It seems that you have Live Update mode off.

For details about preview modes, see the “Preview modes” section of After Effects Help.

Thanks for the tip, Todd. I had turned Live Update off. I really appreciate your help!
