Hi there, figured this was the best way to get your attention!
I am grateful to people like yourselves who give so freely. And likewise I am grateful for your recent efforts to help me resolve an issue with my grass (“hair”) problem. I had looked into the grass back lighting before as a potential problem and after both of your advise I revisited the illumination panel again and played with some settings again. I turned off back shadow completely and ran a good 30 or 40 more renders and have exhausted everything I can think of. At this point I have to wonder if in this situation there is a resolution to be had.
I have finished the project and moved on as I cannot spend any more time on this! I ended up just running separate renders; the second I simply isolated out the grass without its parent plane. Just composted the two in Photoshop. I could have done this to begin with but, hey…whats the fun in that? Here’s how it turned out…
