    Hey folks,

After some advice about achieving a shot where the camera dollies out from an extreme close up of someone’s eye.

I would like to start with the pupil basically filling the entire screen, with the camera tracking back to reveal it’s someone’s face.

I presume there would be a bit of cheating involved – perhaps starting off on a still of the eye and then somehow dissolving to the motion shot?

We’ll be shooting at 1080P unfortunately, so resizing from 4K isn’t an option!

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    D

I’m guessing this will end up being a mixture of a digital zoom in post, added to a manual dolly shot using a slider. Stabilizing the footage will still likely be necessary. You’re going to want an experienced focus-puller on this.
