  • accidentally deleted FCP icon..It wont start anymore…!

    Hi,
This is strange and have to solve it quick..Our director deleted by mistake the FCP start up icon from the desktop where he had it for quick access. Then accidentally emptied the trash..(Thats all he says he did!)
Now FCP wont start when he clicks on the same icon on the dock…(it has a question mark on it)..
I searched on spotlight to find another icon somewhere on the HD but nothing..
    How do i solve this?

    Thanks

He has deleted the application. It should not have been on the desktop, unless it got dragged there by accident. Most likely he deleted it from the Applications folder. Either way the application will have to be reinstalled. The question mark icon in the Dock indicates that the original file that’s aliased in the Dock cannot be found.

    All the best,

    Tom

If he has Time Machine running, he can drag it back from there…otherwise, its time to re-install.

Applications go in the Applications folder. For quick access, drag the icon to the dock or create an alias on the desktop.
