    Hello world!!!

I use Cinema 4D release 8. I’m trying to design my kitcen as a practice so as to learn more about C4D. I use booleans in order to make gaps on a wall. This method produses many polygons. Does anyone have any idea of how can i reduce the size of the model? Is there any choise such as “delete” or “clean up unnecessary points or edges”?

    Thank you,

    Anthony

You could make the boolean editable and try the poly reduction object (in the deformers section). R9 has a “better bool” option that usually results in less chaotic geometry. I think it may have been available as a free R8 plugin (from Maxon), but I could be wrong about that.

Or better yet, don’t use booleans at all unless you really have to. See if you can get along with the knife tool.
